LASA Raptors Swim and Dive, 2020-21 Season
Message from Coach Parks
Dear LASA Swim and Dive Athletes, Parents, and new LASA Families :
I hope this message finds each of you well. My name is Chris Parks, and I am proud to join this community as the new Head Coach for LASA Swim and Dive. Sharing my passion for German has already been a dream come true at LASA, but applying my experience and love for this sport is truly the icing on the cake of my LASA journey. I am joined this year by Asst. Coach Rachel Pate, who is a French teacher for our World Languages Department. As we end our summer and come closer to the long awaited day of being safely back at school with our students and athletes, I wanted to send a few brief updates:

It will be a swim season unlike any of us have seen, but together I know we will accomplish great success and wonderful memories in the process. As coaches we are entering this season with a spirit of flexibility to manage the many changes and modifications we will encounter the entire season along with the tenacity to carry the torch of this team's legacy of success.
Medical History / Physical Drop-Off
We will have two drop-off times for the medical history/physical form. This applies to all athletes, not just those that need a physical for 20-21.
Friday, 8/14, 12:00-4:00 p.m.
Monday, 8/17, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Location: Gym parking lot
What to bring:
- Any athlete that competed for an AISD school during the 19-20 school year does not need a new physical. They do, however, still need to complete their medical history form (page 1 of the physical) and conduct a brief in-person health screening with our athletic trainer, Sue Torres. This will be a drive-thru procedure; the athletes will not need to leave their vehicles.
- Any athlete that did not attend an AISD school in 19-20, or did not play a sport in 19-20 will need to bring the complete physical form.
- If your family cannot make the drop off dates, the in person screening and drop off must take place at school with Athletic Trainer, Sue Torres, before tryouts / practice.
All athletes must complete the AISD online forms.
We look forward to seeing you all very soon. Please remember to bring your "cleared to play" from our Athletic Trainer to upcoming tryouts / first day of training.
